Services
Collaborative, evidence-based therapy
Konowitz Psychological Services provides private-pay telehealth services to adolescents, college students, young adults, and parents/caregivers located in Massachusetts, Maine, and Rhode Island.
Treatment is collaborative, individualized, active, and grounded in evidence-based approaches.

Who services are designed for
Different stages of life bring different challenges.
Individual therapy for adolescents
Dr. Konowitz works with adolescents experiencing anxiety, OCD, ADHD, perfectionism, emotional intensity, executive-functioning challenges, or difficulty navigating developmental and academic transitions.
Treatment is adapted to the adolescent’s developmental needs and may include collaboration with parents/caregivers when appropriate.
Individual therapy for college students and young adults
College and early adulthood can involve significant changes in identity, independence, relationships, academics, work, and future direction.
Dr. Konowitz helps young adults understand patterns that may be keeping them stuck while developing practical ways to respond to challenges more flexibly and move toward meaningful goals.
Parent/caregiver-focused treatment
Dr. Konowitz works with parents/caregivers navigating childhood anxiety, selective mutism, behavioral challenges, emotion-regulation difficulties, and executive-functioning concerns.
Depending on the family’s needs, treatment may draw from Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy for Selective Mutism (PCIT-SM), and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). These approaches help caregivers strengthen connection, respond more effectively to challenges, and support children in developing greater confidence and flexibility.
School consultation and collaboration
Children and adolescents often benefit when the adults supporting them are working from a shared plan. With caregiver permission, Dr. Konowitz collaborates with teachers, school counselors, and other members of a student’s team to support greater consistency across home, school, and treatment.
Consultation may focus on anxiety, selective mutism, behavioral concerns, emotion regulation, executive-functioning difficulties, or school transitions. Recommendations are tailored to the student’s needs and the scope of treatment.
Professional development and training
Dr. Konowitz provides professional development and training for schools across Massachusetts. Workshops may focus on practical, evidence-based strategies for supporting children with anxiety, strengthening classroom responses, and promoting student well-being.
She also trains school staff to recognize signs of child abuse and neglect, understand mandated-reporting responsibilities, and respond confidently and appropriately to concerns. Workshops and consultations can be tailored to the needs of a school, faculty, staff, or student community.
Clinical approach
Grounded in evidence, shaped by the client.
Dr. Konowitz’s approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrates principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Depending on each client’s needs, therapy may include developing new behavioral skills, increasing awareness of thoughts and emotions, strengthening emotion regulation, responding differently to anxiety or compulsive patterns, and taking values-guided action.
